How a Handful of Tracts Became a Two-Nation Ministry
The full story of Doulous Aid and Relief Outreach Cameroon — from a quiet idea in the year 2000 to a registered NGO serving children in Cameroon, with a branch in The Netherlands.
Who We Are
A Servant Ministry
Doulous Aid and Relief Outreach Cameroon (DAROC), otherwise known as DOULOUS, is a Christian-based association aimed at ameliorating the moral conditions in our community by checking common social problems. It is an apolitical Christian NGO that helps to fight against corruption in Cameroon, Africa, and the world.
Doulous is a Greek word meaning servant — its accusative use speaks to identity, dynamism, and originality. The ministry is based in Buea Sub-Division, South West Region of Cameroon, with a branch now in The Netherlands. The idea was nursed by its visionary with the aim of reaching out to Cameroon and beyond.

The Journey
Milestones, Year by Year
- Late 2000The ministry begins, foggily, as Liberating Track Ministry — using tracts to communicate Christ and address social ills.
- 2006The concept of Doulous Ministry emerges: to serve and bring transformation to the community. It gives rise to a Bible institute — Gethsemane Bible Institute (GBI), now under Gethsemane Baptist Church, Bokoko–Buea.
- 2010 · SeminarDoulous launches a two-week anti-corruption seminar at Gethsemane Baptist Church, Bokoko–Buea. The idea of official registration is hatched here.
- 2010 · RegisteredDoulous is granted legal status to function within the Buea Sub-Division by the Divisional Officer — Reg. No. 071/G37/04/BAPP/A1. That same year it makes first contact with the National Anti-Corruption Commission (CONAC) in Yaoundé and receives a reply — Ref. 678/CONAC — encouraging the young ministry to keep working.
- July 2013Official launch at Gethsemane Baptist Church, Bokoko — graced by a church service and a football competition. That year, Doulous sends two children to school for the first time.
- March 2014The Government of Cameroon grants full legal status. On the government’s advice, the name changes from Doulous Ministry to Doulous Aid and Relief Outreach Cameroon (DAROC) — Reg. No. 205/G37/C84/VOLII/SAAJP.
- TodayThe ministry supports 15 children in school and continues to grow through the collaborative efforts of the team in Cameroon.
