“Doulous” is the Greek word for servant. Everything DAROC does — from anti-corruption seminars to school-fee support — flows from that identity.

Install an anti-corruption culture in the vulnerable and school-age children through education, biblical counselling, and prayers.
Livelihood Platform
Ensure sustainable livelihood with persons with disabilities through formal education, vocational training, and rehabilitation.

Establish infrastructures that accommodate facilities for formal education, vocational training, health care, and rehabilitation.

Our History
From Tracts to a National Ministry
- Late 2000The work begins informally as Liberating Track Ministry — communicating Christ and addressing social ills through gospel tracts.
- 2006The DOULOUS concept is born: to serve and bring transformation to the community. This vision births Gethsemane Bible Institute (GBI), now under Gethsemane Baptist Church, Bokoko Buea.
- 2010After a two-week anti-corruption seminar at GBC — responding to Transparency International’s ranking of Cameroon among the most corrupt countries — DOULOUS is registered in Buea Sub-Division (Reg. No 071/G37/04/BAPP/A1) and makes first contact with CONAC, the National Anti-Corruption Unit in Yaoundé (Ref: 678/CONAC).
- 2013Official launch at GBC Bokoko with a church service and football competition. DOULOUS sends its first two students to school.
- 2014The Government of Cameroon grants national legal status; on its advice the name becomes Doulous Aid and Relief Outreach Cameroon (DAROC) — Reg. No 205/G37/C84/VOL II/SAAJP.
- TodayDAROC supports many more students and grows through the collaborative efforts of the team in Cameroon, led by Rev. Dr. Liombe Timothy, president and founder.
